Day 01 Cochin , Sight seeing - Kerala
Package tours starts on arrival at Cochin airport / Ernakulam Railway
station. you will be met by our representative and will transfer you to
Hotel.The revered city of Kochi (long known as Cochin), is Kerala’s prime
tourist destination, spread across islands and promontories in a stunning
location between the Arabian Sea and the backwaters. There’s a saying in
Malayalam that a man who sees Kochi soon forgets his wife. So seductive is
Kochi (formerly called Cochin before it got abbreviated to a sneeze, thanks
to some linguistic jingoism) that it has long served to tempt voyagers and
travelers form all over the globe. The successive influences of the
Portuguese, the Dutch and the British have coated Kochi in a shroud of
cultural influences that add to the unique ambience, best exemplified by the
fascinating samples of Indo-European architecture that dot the older parts
of the city.After relaxation go for a half day sightseeing of Cochin, Visit
the famous Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Jews Street, St.Francis church,
Chinese fishing net - are huge cantilevered fishing net & the
indo-Portuguese Museum. Later transfer you back to Hotel. Overnight stay in
Hotel.
Day 02 Cochin - Munnar - AM: 0900 Hrs checkout from Cochin hotel
after breakfast, and we take you to Munnar (140 Kms / 04 Hrs).Munnar is
situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha,
Nallathanni and Kundala. 1600 m above sea level, this hill station was the
summer resort of the British Government in South India. Sprawling tea
plantations, picture-book towns, winding lanes and holiday facilities make
Munnar a popular hill station. Among the exotic flora found in the forests
and grasslands here is the Neelakurinji. This flower which bathes the hills
in blue once every twelve years will bloom next in 2006 AD. Munnar also has
the highest peak in South India, Anamudi, which towers over 2695 m. Anamudi
is an ideal spot for trekking.. On arrival at Munnar check into Hotel..

Day 03 Munnar sightseeing - After breakfast we take you for a full
day sightseeing trip of Munnar -which is a nature lover's paradise with
endless teagardens lakes on western ghat hills basically it is a tea town.
covering - Mattupetty Lake & Dam, Echo Point, Kundale Lake, Blossom Garden,
Rajamalai - offering a spectacular view, Eravikulam Wildlife sanctuary, home
of Nilgiry Thar( very rare mountain goat), considering the ecological
faunal, floral, geo- morphological and zoological significant & Tea
Plantation. Later return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 04 Munnar - Thekkady - Thekkady Sightseeing - AM: 0900 Hrs check
out from Hotel after breakfast and move to Thekkady (120 kms / 4 Hrs). Check
into Hotel at Thekkady.Thekkady is one of India’s most fascinating natural
wildlife sanctuaries, where you can watch wildlife sanctuaries, where you
can watch wildlife at close range. The vegetation the flora & fauna and the
birds of Thekkady are uniquely rich vast & varied that it does not bear
semblance to any other wildlife sanctuaries in the world. even a casual
visitor to the place will not fail to observe the special ecological pattern
of thekkady. In the periyar forest of Thekkady is one of the finest wildlife
reserve in India & spread across the entire district are picturesque
plantations & hill towns that hold great opportunities for treks & mountain
walks. A cruise on through the water of periyar lake around which the
wild-life sanctuary is situated offers a soul - stirring pleasant
experience. After refreshing go for a spice plantation Tour to see crops of
cardamom cinnamon, pepper, coffee, tea estate (Optional) & later for boating
in the Periyar lake - its centre piece of Periyar Wildlife sanctuary also
Periyar Tiger reserve, man made lake of the height of 2000 ft, enjoying view
the wildlife at the Periyar tiger reserve (Optional). Later return to hotel
for overnight stay in hotel.
Day 05 Thekkady - Kumarakom sightseeing - After breakfast, check out
from Hotel and we drive down to Kumarakom (145 Kms / 4 Hrs). On arrival at
Kumarakom, check in at the hotel.On the shores of the enchanting vembanad
lake, 14 km form Kottayam , lies kumarakom a small-town .the most
interesting area in the backwater is the ‘Kuttanad’ region called rice bowl
of kerala .Kumarakom is just one little village in this region on the banks
of the beautiful vembanad lake .The village of kumarakom is a cluster of
little island s on the vembanad lake .& is a part of the kuttanad region
.The bird sanctuary in kumarakom is spread across 14 acres is a favourite
haunt of migratory birds & ornithologist’s paradise.After refreshing visit
the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary ( famous for migratory and local birds),
Evening go for Sunset cruise (optional) or enjoy the beauty of backwater by
just relaxing near Vembanadu Lake.
Day 06 Kumarakom Houseboat - Morning at leisure at resort, 1230 hrs
checks in at houseboat. Rest of the day at leisure on the House Boat. Sit
back and relax while the boat cruises through the narrow serene backwater
canals of Kumarakom & Alleppey and seen in breathing green, the village
slumbers by the Vembanadu Lake. On cruise scenery flashes up vivid contrasts
of lush green and deep blues. As the boat glider along the gorgeous green of
the fringed palms the ripples in the blue water blend in to little wavelets.
Lunch, Evening Tea/Coffee with snacks, dinner and Overnight stay on House
Boat.
Day 07 Houseboat - Kovalam - Morning at leisure on House Boat
experience the pollution free air and after a good breakfast at 0900 Hrs
check out from houseboat and we transfer you to Kovalam (190 Kms / 4.5 Hrs)
this journey is through costal areas with coconut trees and view of lagoons
and palm fringed Arabian sea. On arrival at Kovalam check into HotelKovalam
is an internationally renowned beach with three adjacent crescent beaches. A
massive rocky promontory on the beach has created a beautiful bay of calm
water ideal for sea bathing. The most popular and largest beach is
Lighthouse Beach, aptly named for its 30-meter lighthouse, which features a
stunning site - the Vizhinjam mosque. For a less crowded beach, visit
Samudra Beach, with ample coconut trees and great views of the local
fishermen at work.Rest of the day at leisure on the beach at Kovalam. Enjoy
the scene of Arabian waves embracing virgin sands in Kerala -Gods own
country. Overnight stay at Hotel, Kovalam.
Day 08 Kovalam - Trivandruum Sightseeing - After breakfast we take
you for a full day sightseeing trip of of Trivandrum (capital of Kerala) at
0900 Hrs. Visit: The Napier Museum, Kuthiramalika Museum, Sri Padmanabha
Temple afternoon relax at on the beach Overnight stay at Hotel, Kovalam.
Day 09 Departure from Trivandrum - AM: At leisure, later we will pick
up from Hotel and transfer you to Trivandrum - airport / Railway station.
